Dr. Lukáš Palatinus has been awarded the Gjønnes Medal

Dr. Lukáš Palatinus from the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences has been awarded the Gjønnes Medal in Electron Crystallography by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr). The award was presented at the 27th IUCr Congress in Calgary, Canada, held on August 11–18, 2026.

Awarded every three years, the Gjønnes Medal recognizes outstanding contributions to the field and is among the world’s most prestigious honors in electron crystallography.
